So today I have to get a new tire for the rear of the bike.
I phone around and find a 110 Shinko at Bolger Motorsports but no one I called had any 4.00 x 19 tires.
I ask them if they can change my tire and they say they don't have the time. I tell them all I need is the tire replaced and balanced, I'll remove the rim from the bike and put it back on.
They say sure no problem.
So off I go to Bolger Motorsports and buy the tire. But before I pull off the rear I have to clean the bike. So I ask where the closest do it yourself car wash is. I head over and wash the bike twice. That red clay mud that P.E.I. is famous for is all over the bike.
Once cleaned it was back to the shop.
Pulled the rear tire off and the girl at the desk said "Wow that was fast". I had a chuckle at that.
So fifteen minutes later I have my new and much smaller rear tire. I throw that back on the bike. As I replaced the rear I noticed that the rear brake pads were worn to the point of replacing. So back in I go to see if they have any but they don't. They phone another bike shop, Centennial Auto Sport & Tire and they have a pair.
I thank them and head off to Centennial Auto Sport & Tire.
I get there and before I head in I check the front brake pads and they were down to the steel on one pad. O.K. I'll get a pair of those too.
Well they don't have any front brake pads in stock so I pull them out and give them a pad to see if they have any matching ones.
They found one pair that was the same but had to much brake material on it and there was not enough room to get them in.
They find another pair but the pin holes don't line up.
The head shop guy there gets one of the mechanics to drill out the holes to match. This takes awhile. He would drill a bit, bring them out, I'd try them, they didn't fit, he'd go back and drill some more, etc.
So around closing time he brings them out and there is enough drilled out that I can get them on. I thank them especially as they did all the drilling gratis.
Off I head down town to grab some food and find a t-shirt for a friend. After checking a few stores I find the shirts so I buy two for him and then head back to the campground.
But before getting to the camp I take a detour to the ferry that will take me over to Nova Scotia. It is here that the most southern point of Prince Edward Island so I take a little video at Wood Islands Provincial Park.
From there it is back to the campground to get ready for tomorrow and a good sleep.
Again a big shout out to Bolger Motorsports and Centennial Auto Sport & Tire for all their help!
