What a difference a day makes.
Today I plan to go to the most eastern point of Prince Edward Island. For the first time on this trip the day starts out sunny and warm. Yes warm.
So off I go to the most eastern point of the island. Windy but warm. Once there I noticed a foundation right on the cliff edge. I found out that it was the foundation for the fog horn building which they moved closer to the lighthouse.
Inside the lighthouse there were pictures from fifteen years ago showing the shoreline was far away from the building. In that short time the shore line has eroded ten to fifteen metres.
From there it was back towards Charlottetown with stops along the coast to see the long sandy beaches.
Once I get in to Charlottetown I head over to a motorcycle shop as I need a rear tyre. The shop had moved so I go to the new location and it is not open yet.
So on to town with stops at Canadian Tire and the liquor store.
Then to downtown to visit Province House. Province House was host for the Charlottetown Conference where the Fathers of Confederation met to discuss making Canada a country.
From there as I headed back to the campground I saw a large gathering of motorcycles. I stopped in to find it was the end of a charity run and spent time talking to people there.
