Day five. I thought I'd be smart an pack up what I could the previous night so it wouldn't take long to get going in the morning. Well it seems this doesn't work at least for me.
It took me two and one half hours to get going this morning with the majority of the time being the disassembly and packing of the tent. Especially when it is wet. Then trying to stuff it back in to its original bag.
After leaving the camp site I choose to take the ferry across the Ottawa river.
So today was supposed to reach 18° C today but if it reached 10° C at any point I'd say that was lucky. Plus the occasional downpour of rain, it has rained at one point or another on all five days so far, made the ride quite enjoyable. Not. Even with my grip warmers I still had to add a pair of thin glove liners to keep my hands warm.
And there is nothing better than setting up a damp tent in more rain.
Other than that the ride was enjoyable. It was nice travelling through the small Quebec towns along the St. Lawrence river
