So after last years horrible winter we finally received a bunch of snow before the holidays so I thought, this would be a great time to visit Santa street.
Let me explain a bit. There is a street in town where a bunch of home owners, maybe around 50, put large inflatable Santa Claus' on their front yard. It has become a little tourist attraction.
The first year I had the Ural I took a video of me going up the street. It was using my original Gopro and it was mounted on the front of the tub.
It was at night and the video wasn't great. Grainy and the the camera was too low.
So I didn't bother to do this last winter even though I now have a Gopro 4 and a higher mounting point as there was no snow.
Fast forward to this year and my new toy a 360 camera. Great I thought, this will look cool. But as I was testing out the new camera I realised the video somewhat sucks when one holds it or is mounted close to objects.
The stitching line is real ugly and looks like crap. O.K. so I have to elevate it.
So with a quick fist and an extendable painters pole plus threaded adapter, I now had the platform to use the camera.
A few fine tunes to my setup and I can get rid of some of the wobble but for a first run I was quite happy. Except for Youtube. On a regular video you can add music in Youtube but for some reason you can't do this for 360 video. So there is no music.
So enjoy.
